March 2022 Events
In-person interaction is gradually returning and the Yay!Starter team are making the most of physical events. In the last month, we’ve visited some of the biggest and highly anticipated events in the FinTech and EdTech calendars.
First up was a speed networking FinTech event, organised by Gemma Young, founder of Women in Fintech.
Held in Ashurst’s glamorous headquarters overlooking Spitafields, this event was the perfect chance to network with women dominating the UK FinTech scene. It was also a great opportunity to share our marketing know-how of FinTech businesses, which focuses on Content-led B2B lead generation campaigns, and includes creation and distribution of FinTech eGuides and white papers.
Bett 2022
After a two-year hiatus, Bett UK 2022 returned to ExCel London to host the latest trends and innovations in the EdTech and eLearning industry.
Some of the most well-known companies in EdTech attended the event including Microsoft Education, BBC Bitesize and Classera. Attendees were also able to hear from keynote speaker, UK Education Secretary, Nadhim Zahawi, as well as various education representatives from around the world.
We also got the opportunity to network with some of the most exciting businesses in the sector. This included AI teaching and learning platform, Century Tech; Oslo-based digital teaching tools for mathematics provider, Kikora and interactive learning application for students and faculties, Creaza.
Business Leader’s Family – Monthly Gathering
During this month’s Business Leaders Family monthly gathering, we shared wins and lessons from our entrepreneurial journey and discussed key industry trends. We also shared tips and insights on how to market and operate our respective businesses effectively.
Later in the event, we discussed the value of mastermind sessions and how they offer great value to business owners, For instance, these sessions can teach us how to overcome common business challenges, how to manage our time effectively, and how we can support each other with inspiring anecdotes from our business journeys.

Looking ahead – April 2022
Having visited TechChill back in 2018, we’re very excited for the event to resume in-person later this month in Riga, Latvia.
The Baltics consists of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia and has a combined population of 6 million. The region has already produced 12 startup unicorns and Riga, Latvia is the perfect destination to learn more about how the Baltic region is nurturing startups for long-term success.
With Latvia ranked as the most ‘startup-friendly’ country in Europe, we’re looking forward to finding out how the region supports startups and putting their methods into practice with our clients.
